CenturyLink brings together the technology, services, and expertise that power some of the largest brands in the world and they do it with solid Management & Operations practices and Tier Certified facilities.
Uptime Institute has successfully certified more than half of CenturyLink’s global data centers with its Management&Operations (M&O) Stamp of Approval. Remaining data centers are currently undergoing review and are expected to achieve certification by the end of 2016.
CenturyLink pledged its commitment to data center operational excellence by pursuing the M&O Stamp of Approval for all its data centers, which validates the critical facilities management and operations practices of an existing data center. Earning this credential demonstrates leadership and provides third-party assurance that a data center satisfies industry-recognized criteria for excellence, risk management, and reliability.
With these continued efforts, CenturyLink is not only raising the bar for operations excellence, but also accountability and rigor in RFPs and procurement. CenturyLink is the first to attain this certification in several markets, including Seattle, Denver, and Atlanta, with the latest awards in London. Furthermore, CenturyLink has the largest portfolio of certified sites around the globe.
In addition to committing to M&O Stamp of Approval across its portfolio, CenturyLink has also received several Tier Certifications from Uptime Institute for recent data center build projects throughout the United States, Canada and Hong Kong.
Earning the M&O Stamp of Approval validates the rigor and effectiveness of your facility management and operations and gives your stakeholders the assurance they need that effective risk mitigation is in place. This thorough review provides accountability for the operations team, service vendors, and leadership. CenturyLink has committed to certify 57 of their data centers for Management and Operations (M&O) excellence.

Tier Certification of Constructed Facility ensures that a facility has been constructed as designed, and verifies that it is capable of meeting the defined availability requirements. Even the best-laid plans can go awry, and common construction phase practices or value engineering proposals can compromise the design intent of a data center.
The sites below have already been awarded Tier Certification of Design Documents and have progressed to Tier Certification of Constructed Facility after passing exhaustive review and demonstration of capabilities.
