DCC Foundation - Create a VM in vCloud Director

This demo shows the creation of a new Dedicated Cloud Compute (DCC) Foundation VM in the vCloud Director workspace.

Note: This video was taken from a demo of DCC Foundation done in the lab environment, pre-release. There may be subtle differences in the appearance of the workspace or you may hear references to other parts of the demo during the recording.

DCC Foundation is an evolution of our DCC Core product, providing an offering under CenturyLink’s Private Cloud and Hybrid Cloud management strategy. It is a Private Cloud product based on VMware’s Cloud Foundation Architecture that includes Software Defined Networking and vSAN Storage for a completely integrated, Hyperconverged Cloud Infrastructure. The Infrastructure is operated on the front end by both VMware vCloud Director and CenturyLink’s Cloud Application Manager. vCloud Director is used for Governance and Network Control. Cloud Application Manager is used for delivering Managed Anywhere Services and Automated Lifecycle Management (ALM).
