HAN Internet   

HAN Internet provides internet connectivity to devices hosted within a CenturyLink Data Centre.

The local network operating within a CenturyLink Data Centre is known as the Hosted Area Network (HAN).

The HAN internet service delivers worldwide connectivity to the internet for carriers, Internet Service Providers (ISPs), Application Service Providers (ASPs), content providers and multinational corporations hosted within a CenturyLink Data Centre.

The service is delivered in the United States, Europe and Asia Pacific on our Tier 1, AS backbone network at speeds ranging from Ethernet (10Mbps) to Gigabit Ethernet (1000Mbps).

The service includes the following:

  • Direct connection between the CenturyLink network and client equipment via a single cross connect or via dual cross connects using the following connection types:
  • Fast Ethernet - 100Mbps.
  • Gigabit Ethernet - 1000Mbps.
  • IP addresses consistent with CenturyLink IP policies and what the client can justify.
  • Troubleshooting of CenturyLink-provided components.
  • Installation of cabling between the client patch panel and the CenturyLink patch panel in the Data Centre node room.
